Inside PVT, Manila’s Most Private Members’ Lounge
In a city that thrives on connection but often craves privacy, PVT emerges as Manila’s most compelling new address. Perched high above the skyline in a 1,000-square-meter penthouse, this private members’ lounge embodies what exclusivity means in the modern age: meaningful conversation and exquisite experiences.
Conceived as a private sanctuary, PVT was imagined as a world-class members’ club that could stand alongside its global peers in the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Its mission is simple: to cultivate a space where Manila’s leaders, creatives, and innovators can gather, dine, and converse in comfort and confidence.
The design, led by architect Carlo Calma, captures that ethos perfectly. Known for his sculptural, contemporary sensibility, Calma has created a space that feels both grand and intimate—a rare duality in a time when most may conflate opulence with spectacle. Inside, furniture by Kenneth Cobonpue and Vito Selma lends a strong sense of Filipino identity and sophistication—woven textures, sculptural forms, and natural materials that feel both contemporary and familiar.
Its dining destinations are helmed by Chef Robby Goco, celebrated for his ingredient-driven approach and his ability to interpret Mediterranean warmth with precision. Working alongside him is Chef Patrick Ambrosio, whose 18 years o international experience bring depth and continuity to the club’s daily rhythm. Together, they have created a menu that values provenance, balance, and restraint—dishes that speak softly but linger long after the meal ends.
Within the club, members can move seamlessly between four distinct experiences: Cirrus, for refined dining; Cellar, for deep wine exploration; Kappo, for an intimate omakase experience; and Nostra, a casual lounge ideal for conversation and cocktails. The programming extends beyond dining, with blind tastings, Champagne showcases, international chef residencies, and curated cultural evenings forming part of a calendar that feels as considered as it is rare.
Membership, by invitation only, is designed for those who value privacy and discretion over display. Beyond access to the club’s spaces and events, members enjoy reciprocal privileges at select clubs around the world—a gesture that connects Manila with the global language of private hospitality.
What ultimately sets PVT apart is its perspective, cultivated through experience, service, and a community of individuals who share a sensibility rather than a status symbol. With bespoke concierge support, tailored programming, and a devotion to the finer details of living well, PVT establishes itself as more than a place to dine; it’s a space to belong.
