Fauré Le Page Rides Into the Year of the Horse
Chinese New Year is, at its core, perhaps mostly about movement. It marks the moment when intention sharpens and the year ahead begins to take shape. For the Year of the Horse, Fauré Le Page leans into that spirit with a limited-edition release that feels grounded and assured.
The collection draws from the Maison’s martial heritage yet translates those references into pieces designed for the rhythm of contemporary life. Guided by its long-standing credo, “Armed for Seduction,” the designs function as modern talismans, luxuryLuxuryA lifestyle defined by exceptional quality, craftsmanship, exclusivity, and sophistication, encompassing the finest products, services, and experiences that represent the highest standards of refinement and excellence.Go to Luxury Glossary objects that only gain character as they travel through the everyday.
The collection’s visual anchor is a refreshed interpretation of Fauré Le Page’s iconic Scale Canvas, this time overlaid with the graphic imprint of a horse’s hoof. The motif introduces a sharper sense of motion to the Maison’s familiar textures, appearing in a restrained palette of black and grey animated by precise accents of auspicious red. Rather than overwhelming the silhouettes, the print reads as a subtle evolution, lending renewed energy to established pieces such as the Daily Battle totes, Pochette Zip, and Étendard small leather goods.
At the forefront of the release is the Daily Battle line, widely regarded as the Maison’s defining everyday carryall. This season’s editions refine the familiar formula, pairing the signature screen-printed Scale Canvas with grained calfskin leather reinforcements that enhance both structure and visual depth.
The design remains intentionally practical, offering generous interiors and adjustable bi-colored handles that transition easily between shoulder and hand carry. Its appeal, however, lies in the finishing touches: discreet embossed crests, cartridge-holder accents inspired by historical hunting gear, and optional medal-ribbon customizations.
Balancing the larger bags is a tightly edited range of compact leather goods that highlights the collection’s precision in finish and proportion. The Pochette Zip 29 stands out for its clean, architectural profile, slim enough to function as a document holder yet structured enough to accommodate tablets and everyday essentials. Executed in the limited Lucky U canvas, it features a detachable grained-calfskin strap that allows it to transition seamlessly from clutch to shoulder piece, giving the design an understated versatility suited to both travel and evening use.
Meanwhile, the Étendard wallets and cardholders approach functionality with a more graphic edge, combining the signature Scale Canvas with banner-stripe accents and crisp calfskin trims that lend visual definition despite their compact scale. Inside, multiple card slots and compartments are arranged to maintain a sleek profile even when fully loaded, reinforcing the Maison’s emphasis on thoughtful construction.
Completing the selection are smaller statement accessories that draw directly from the house’s martial heritage, like the molded two-cigar case, crafted using traditional cuirasse leather techniques, which feels at once archival and contemporary, while the tassel key holder—derived from historical sword lanyards—introduces a refined decorative element that can double as a bag charm. Together, these pieces extend the collection’s narrative of protective elegance, proving that the smallest accessories can carry just as much visual impact as the headline designs.
