Airbus Corporate Helicopters (ACH) and Mercedes-Benz chose one of the world’s busiest private helicopter markets, São Paulo, to unveil the new ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition, the latest product of their long-running partnership. The new heli pairs the robustness and versatility of the ACH145 platform with Mercedes-Benz’s design authority.

First launched in 2010, the collaboration was among the earliest serious efforts to fuse automotive interior philosophy with aerospace engineering. Since then, 26 examples of the earlier ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Style have been delivered worldwide, appealing to clients who value continuity of experience across land and air. Following a renewed agreement in 2021, the partnership entered a more focused chapter shaped by Mercedes-Benz’s contemporary design language, “Sensual Purity.” The updated name—the ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition—signals a deeper integration rather than a mere styling exercise in ultra-luxuryLuxuryA lifestyle defined by exceptional quality, craftsmanship, exclusivity, and sophistication, encompassing the finest products, services, and experiences that represent the highest standards of refinement and excellence.Go to Luxury Glossary mobility.

The helicopter is based on the latest five-bladed variant of the H145 platform, delivering measurable performance gains. The additional blade enhances flight smoothness and reduces vibration, resulting in greater passenger comfort, and noise levels have been further refined in different ways but also, of course, due to the Fenestron tail rotor—an essential consideration for urban operations and executive transport. The updated configuration also increases useful payload by 150 kilograms, expanding flexibility without sacrificing range (366 nautical miles) or its good looks. Maximum endurance is an impressive 3 hours 59 minutes, with speed going up to 137 knots, reinforcing power and practicality along with its polish.

Inside, the aircraft feels like an airborne extension of Mercedes-Benz’s luxury vehicles. Clients may choose between four- to eight-seat layouts, with six curated interior concepts serving as tailored starting points. Luxe materials, stitching details, color palettes, and ambient lighting reflect the elegance seen in the brand’s flagship automobiles. Sculpted seating emphasizes ergonomic support, ensuring comfort whether on short city transfers or longer regional flights.

The ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition places design coherence at its core, and configurations can be arranged for lounge-style conversation, face-to-face meetings, or more formal executive transport. Integrated storage, refined trim interfaces, and harmonized lighting contribute to a seamless environment.

Yet this helicopter is not defined by aesthetics alone. In cities like São Paulo, where ground congestion can consume hours, vertical mobility has become a strategic advantage. For entrepreneurs and executives navigating multiple locations across regions and time zones, the ACH145 operates as both transport and business instrument.

The final figure has yet to be confirmed, but estimates place it in the $10 million to $12 million range. In the rarefied calculus of time, privacy, and design without compromise, that is a premium few will question.
