NUSTAR Opens Its Private Villas to Online Booking

At the southern edge of Cebu City, where the coastline opens toward the Mactan Strait, NUSTAR Hotel Cebu has expanded one of the most private offerings within the Philippine hospitality market: its collection of ultra-luxury villas, which can now be booked directly online through the resort’s website. 

The villas sit within the larger NUSTAR Resort and Casino development on Kawit Point, an integrated resort complex that has increasingly positioned itself as one of the country’s most ambitious hospitality and entertainment destinations. While much of NUSTAR’s public identity has centered around gaming, dining, and large-scale leisure, the villas introduce a different proposition altogether: privacy.

There are three villas in total, ranging from approximately 435 to 670 square meters. Each includes expansive living spaces, multiple bedrooms, private sea-facing pools, and garden balconies designed to function more like standalone residences than hotel accommodations. The design language leans toward contemporary restraint rather than overt theatricality, combining large-format interiors with warm materials and panoramic views across Cebu’s waterfront.

The move toward online booking is notable because these kinds of accommodations have traditionally operated through direct inquiries, concierge channels, or private arrangements. Making the villas digitally accessible reflects a broader shift within hospitality, where even highly exclusive stays are increasingly expected to maintain the same convenience and immediacy as mainstream travel platforms—without sacrificing discretion.

The villas also extend the positioning of NUSTAR Hotel Cebu itself, which opened as the resort’s more globally positioned hotel counterpart to the Filipino-led Fili Hotel. Guest accommodations within the NUSTAR Hotel already rank among the largest in Cebu, with suites, executive rooms, butler service, private lounge access, and sweeping sea views forming part of the broader hospitality program. 

What distinguishes the villas, however, is scale and separation. In a region where hospitality has long been associated with island resorts and beachfront compounds, NUSTAR’s villas offer a more urban interpretation of private retreat living—one integrated into a larger ecosystem of restaurants, gaming, retail, wellness, and entertainment.

That larger ecosystem continues to grow. The resort now houses several high-profile dining destinations, retail components, and hospitality towers, positioning itself less as a single hotel and more as a self-contained waterfront district. 

As travel increasingly shifts toward privacy, residential-style accommodation, and highly personalized stays, the villas appear designed for a specific type of traveler: one seeking the infrastructure and convenience of a major resort, but with the autonomy and discretion of a private home.
