You’ve been there. I know I have.

Standing at an airport baggage carousel after a way-too-long flight, watching a stream of black, gray, and navy suitcases circle past as you search for the one that’s yours. The tension builds as you wonder whether someone has already mistaken your bag for theirs.

Time to get an orange suitcase.

Rimowa, of course.

Rimowa

For a brand best known for its aluminum grooves and German engineering, color has become one of Rimowa’s most compelling forms of expression.

This season, the brand introduces Orange and Magenta to its Essential collection, two saturated shades that bring fresh energy to its lightweight polycarbonate luggage.

Inspired by the exuberance of Pop-era design, the colors offer two distinct personalities. Orange is bright and vibrant, while Magenta adds richness and drama. Together, they give one of Rimowa’s most recognizable collections a new visual identity without changing what has made it a favorite among frequent travelers.

Beneath the new finish, the Essential collection remains unchanged. Each suitcase is made from lightweight polycarbonate and fitted with Rimowa’s telescopic handle, multiwheel system, TSA-approved locks, and a leather luggage tag. Inside, one side closes with a full-zip compartment, while the other features the brand’s Flex Divider compression system to help keep belongings neatly organized. Every suitcase is backed by Rimowa’s lifetime guarantee.

We were recently at a dinner that launched the collection in Manila. No programs, no speeches, just colorful luggage casually parked around the room. That’s all the brand needed to do.

We all fell in love with them. Just like that.
