The PH 2/2 Luna Table Lamp is a limited-edition design by Poul Henningsen from 1939, and was originally known as “The Night Stand Lamp.” This elegant piece features a gracefully curved brushed brass stem, paired with a three-tiered, mouth-blown opal glass shade that casts a soft, diffused glow. STAR TREK CHAIR
A dream chair for every book lover, the Star Trek armchair and pouf were designed by Roberto Lazzeroni in 1994, for Ceccotti, drawing inspiration from Franco Albini’s “Tre Pezzi” armchair. Blending Italian and Scandinavian influences, this piece reinterprets Albini’s work with a bold, contemporary twist. The name “Star Trek” was coined by a colleague in Lazzeroni’s studio, reflecting the designer’s humor and irreverence. In his design, Lazzeroni exaggerates the proportions of the chair’s headrest and unconventional armrests, giving it a distinctive sculptural characteristic. As with all Ceccotti pieces, innovation is subtly integrated. The headrest’s attachment mechanism is discreetly embedded within an elegant wood and brass joint, transforming a functional detail into a refined design element.

VELIERO BOOKCASE
A masterpiece of modern design, Veliero (Italian for “sailing ship”) is a distinctive bookcase conceived by Franco Albini in 1940. Drawing inspiration from the structure of sailboats, it showcases an innovative design that blends precision with aesthetic sophistication.
The bookcase’s ingenious construction allows books to appear as if they are floating, supported by two ash wood beams, a network of steel rods, and laminated glass shelves. In 2011, Italian furniture brand Cassina re-engineered the Veliero, while preserving its original
design integrity. Collaborating with civil and nautical engineers, they strengthened the bookcase by integrating a steel core within the ash wood base and replacing the shelves with safety glass, ensuring both durability and balance.
