Philippine design is starting strong this year with the ongoing DESIGNPhilippines’ exhibit at Maison&Objet in Paris.

Led by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the banner program participation in Maison&Objet. Recognized as one of the world’s premier platforms for home, lifestyle, and design, the fair’s 2026 theme, Past Reveals Future, explores how heritage continues to inform contemporary creation—an idea closely aligned with the way Filipino brands draw from tradition while designing for a global market.

At Maison&Objet, DESIGNPhilippines presents Artipelago III, a curated showcase featuring 14 Filipino brands working with natural materials such as rattan, bamboo, stone, abaca, and indigenous weaves. Spanning furniture, home décor, and lighting, the collection highlights collaborations between designers and artisan communities, underscoring how Filipino design remains deeply rooted in local culture, collective heritage, and craft traditions.

The participating exhibitors at Maison&Objet include 51 All Weather, Aerostone, Beatriz Accessories, Bon Ace, Calfurn, CSM, Finali, Galerie D’Antoine, Mele + Marie, Nature’s Legacy, Prizmic & Brill, Schema, Moodism, Tahanan, and WeaveManila. Their offerings range from modern outdoor furniture and stone-crafted pieces to fine bone china dining accessories, woven rugs, and lighting designs—collectively showcasing both technical skill and distinct design sensibilities.

For CITEM, participation in these European fairs extends beyond export promotion. It is an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of Filipino makers, the value of local materials, and the role of sustainability in contemporary design. Through this global platform, the Philippines demonstrates how culture, craftsmanship, and responsible production can converge within an increasingly competitive international market.

“These efforts cultivate our banner program DESIGNPhilippines to become a leading source of contemporary home and lifestyle products rooted in material innovation and cultural craft,” she added.
