Tokyo’s SG Club—ranked No. 23 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars—is heading to Manila for a limited two-night guest shift at Uma Nota. On May 14 and 15, the Shibuya-based bar brings its distinct style and award-winning cocktails to the city, led by Head Bartender Ryota Tokumitsu. Tokumitsu is bringing that same thoughtful, travel-ready approach to the Manila takeover with cocktails like Bathtub Yuzu Drop, a tequila- and Riesling-based mix with osmanthus, chrysanthemum, and watermelon; Dirty Mango, Extra Umami, a dirty martini with tomato, mango, and katsuobushi; and Lees in Wax, made with Johnnie Walker Black Label, sake lees, and Japanese wax. It’s the latest in Uma Nota Manila’s growing series of international collaborations, following January’s successful team-up with Singapore’s Neon Pigeon.
