Gallery by Chele has secured the 72nd spot on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 extended list, marking its much-anticipated return to the rankings. The extended 51-100 list announcement comes ahead of the highly anticipated Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 ceremony, and offers a glimpse into the evolving culinary landscape of the continent, recognizing both emerging talents and established dining institutions across 23 cities.

This recognition highlights the restaurant’s unwavering dedication to innovation and authenticity in Filipino cuisine. Founded by chefs Chele González and Carlos Villaflor, Gallery by Chele is renowned for its modern interpretations of local ingredients, served in a setting described as a “rural farmhouse in an urban jungle.”

With their collective experience in some of Spain’s most acclaimed restaurants—El Bulli, El Celler de Can Roca, and Mugaritz—both chefs bring a world-class approach to their craft. They frequently travel across the Philippines, drawing inspiration from regional flavors and traditional culinary techniques, which they reimagine in dishes that celebrate the country’s rich gastronomic heritage. The duo’s commitment to showcasing Philippine ingredients in bold and inventive ways has solidified Gallery by Chele as a standout in the region.

“We are very grateful to @theworlds50best for this recognition, and we want to dedicate it to our incredible team. Your hard work and commitment are just extraordinary,” Gallery by Chele said in a statement on its Instagram. “You made us so proud—each person from the service to the kitchen team made a collective effort to bring that warm hospitality that we are known for.”

The ceremony announcing the Top 50 restaurants is set to take place on March 25 in Seoul, South Korea.
