Last month’s launch of Terra Madre 2025, the global gathering created by Slow Food, offered an exciting (and delicious) preview of this gastronomy event, happening in Bacolod City from November 19 to 23, 2025. Farmers, restaurateurs, academics, and consumers will come together to promote sustainable food production and education. Originating in Italy as a counterpoint to the rise of fast food culture, the Slow Food movement has grown into a global initiative advocating for the principles of good, clean, and fair food. Its mission is to connect chefs, food producers, consumers, and policymakers alike, encouraging them to collaborate and conserve agricultural biodiversity, advance food education, and influence sustainable food policies.
