The Peninsula Motoring Series Heads to the Scottish Highlands This September
The Peninsula Motoring Series heads to the Scottish Highlands this September for its first European edition, guiding an intimate group of motoring enthusiasts through six days of Highland passes, historic estates, and shared experiences that extend the brand’s philosophy of hospitality well beyond its hotels.
The journey begins on September 21 in London, where participants will be welcomed at The Peninsula London. From there, the group will visit the Royal Automobile Club before flying north to Scotland where, at the storied Gleneagles estate, guests are introduced to the classic and era-specific cars that will ferry them through the Highlands.
The route winds northward, and drivers will navigate sinuous mountain passes, sweeping coastal roads, and quiet glens, with highlights including the forests and lochs of Cairngorms National Park and the elevated curves of the Applecross Pass, long regarded as one of the country’s most dramatic drives. Each day balances time behind the wheel with well-timed pauses: lunches at traditional inns, scenic overlooks, and moments to linger.
For three nights, guests settle into an exclusive historic estate, surrounded by gardens and woodland that offer a sense of retreat after hours on the road. Scotland’s culinary traditions are woven naturally into the experience, with menus built around local produce and regional specialties. Whisky, of course, plays a central role, with tastings that explore both craft and context. Between drives, guests are invited to explore villages and take part in time-honored pursuits which include falconry and axe-throwing.
“These driving experiences reflect our belief that luxuryLuxuryA lifestyle defined by exceptional quality, craftsmanship, exclusivity, and sophistication, encompassing the finest products, services, and experiences that represent the highest standards of refinement and excellence.Go to Luxury Glossary travel today is about depth, not distance,” said Kai Lermen, Senior Vice President, The Peninsula Signature Events. “When we bring The Peninsula to Scotland, we are not just organising a trip, we are fostering a global community of people who share a genuine passion for motoring, discovery, and authentic connection. Participation in the Peninsula Motoring Series, Scotland is priced at Php 2,190,000 per car for two guests, inclusive of five nights’ accommodation, all meals, activities, and curated experiences.
Beyond Scotland, the Peninsula Motoring Series continues its global circuit. From August 10-12, 2026, the California edition, also known as The Quail Rally, returns to the Monterey Peninsula for its 29th year as part of Monterey Car Week. The three-day drive traces coastal cliffs and forested mountain roads, paired with access to signature events including track driving at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and entry to The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. Participation is priced at Php 615,000 per car for two guests, with accommodation arranged separately.
