Summer, Chez Vivier
Roger Vivier understands that the best summer dressing loosens the mood while maintaining its standards. Set within the salons and gardens of Maison Vivier, the High Summer 2026 campaign brings the spirit of a seaside escape into the house’s Parisian world.
A welcome sense of summer breeze animates the pieces. Built around lightness, the collection turns raffia, crochet, crystal, and turquoise into a refined warm-weather vocabulary. The mood is much more relaxed for a Vivier collection. But of course, it’s unmistakably Vivier, where nonchalance never comes at the expense of line and form.
At the center of High Summer are sandals and mules that capture the season in motion. Woven raffia introduces a natural, sun-drenched dimension, while luminous crystal buckles return the collection to one of Roger Vivier’s most recognizable motifs. These pieces move easily beyond resort dressing, pairing just as naturally with linen tailoring, a printed dress, or an understated evening look.
Turquoise gives the collection its cleanest note of color, bringing to mind sea and sky without making the reference too literal. Crochet softens the mood further, adding texture without weight to pieces already defined by raffia and crystal.
This balance is especially clear in the bags. The Belle Vivier rattan hobo and clutch recast the house’s ladylike heritage detail through a more architectural summer vocabulary. Rattan gives the pieces a relaxed tactility, but their proportions keep them rather composed, closer to salon dressing than beach dressing in a sense.
Shopping bags and woven baskets carry the mood into more practical pieces, pairing textured materials with shapes made for city errands, travel days, and long weekends. Then there’s the Viv’ Skate Basket Mini Bag, which brings a playful counterpoint to the collection’s more polished pieces.
Footwear sharpens the campaign’s sense of character. High Summer’s Trompette and Boule heels lean into Vivier’s long fascination with shape and attitude. Their sculptural lines give the foot a sense of wit, turning the heel from a supporting detail into one of the collection’s most deliberate gestures.
The Belle Vivier canvas and raffia shoes, meanwhile, soften the house’s signature buckle with materials that feel sunlit, tactile, and less formal.
Lightness also finds a more rarefied counterpart in L’Atelier des Papillons, Roger Vivier’s Autumn–Winter 2026 to 27 Pièce Unique collection. It marks a meaningful return to Roger Vivier’s founding identity as a shoemaker. For the first time, Gherardo Felloni extends the line into one-of-a-kind Choc pumps and couture sneakers, placing footwear beside the Efflorescence Jewel bags and embroidered gilets that have become canvases for the Maison’s most decorative savoir-faire.
If High Summer brings the Maison’s codes into the sun, Pièce Unique returns them to the atelier. The Légère pieces show the collection at its most delicate and exacting. Consider the Légère Choc Pump.
Hand-cut silk organdy petals, micro-beads, sequins, faceted crystals, and goose feathers bloom across the transparent PVC Choc pump, while its curved heel continues the same chromatic embroidery.
The collection’s Efflorescence Jewel bag carries the idea onto off-white satin, where hand-dyed micro-beads and silk organdy petals create soft gradations of depth. Three-dimensional butterflies, formed from beads and fine goose feathers, emerge along the fringed edges, complemented by rose quartz spheres and a hand-shaped palladium-finished torchon handle. Even the sneaker becomes an atelier object, its white base worked with beads, petals, crystals, and sculpted metal, while the gilet turns the motif into a full field of embroidered movement.
Such is the range of Roger Vivier’s imagination, it seems. High Summer captures the ease of the season, while Pièce Unique reveals the labor behind the fantasy.
