Samsung is pushing even further into the wearable-tech space. The electronics company is working with Google to develop augmented-reality glasses, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday. The new project was confirmed by TM Roh, the president of Samsung’s Mobile Experiences unit, who told the outlet that they “will try to reach the quality and readiness we want as soon as possible.” He shared little additional details about the specs. AR glasses, which place data and graphics on what you’re seeing in the real world, have been difficult to produce thus far, Bloomberg noted. Apple, Meta, and Google are all trying to make inroads in the field, but issues related to costs and engineering have led to slow progress.
