Frédéric Malle’s Iconic Fragrances Arrive at Rockwell Through a Limited-Time Pop-Up

For perfume collectors, opportunities to experience Éditions de Parfums Frédéric Malle firsthand are few and far between. This month, the celebrated French fragrance house arrives at Power Plant Mall through a limited-time pop-up, bringing some of contemporary perfumery’s most influential creations to Manila through to July 31.

Founded in 2000 by Frédéric Malle, the maison transformed modern perfumery by placing the perfumer—not the brand—at the center of every fragrance. Each composition bears the name of its creator, celebrating the work of some of the industry’s most respected noses, including Dominique Ropion, Jean-Claude Ellena, Maurice Roucel, Carlos Benaïm, Pierre Bourdon, and Olivia Giacobetti.

The result is a collection that has become a benchmark in niche perfumery. Among its best-known creations are Portrait of a Lady, Dominique Ropion’s richly layered rose and patchouli composition; Carnal Flower, regarded as one of the definitive interpretations of tuberose; Musc Ravageur, Maurice Roucel’s sensual amber musk; and French Lover, Pierre Bourdon’s elegant woody fragrance inspired by the scent of a forest after rain.

The Power Plant Mall pop-up invites visitors to discover these compositions in a dedicated space while learning about the perfumers behind them—a philosophy that has distinguished Frédéric Malle for more than two decades.
