This New 65-Foot Sailing Yacht Combines High Design With High Performance

The new Grand Soleil 65 Plus Performance is at once speedy and stylish.

Grand Soleil just gave its 65-foot sailing yacht a sporty twist. The Italian boat builder, one of three owned by Cantiere del Pardo, has unveiled a successor to the successful Grand Soleil 65. The new Grand Soleil 65 Plus Performance takes design cues from the GS 65 LC (Long Cruise) launched in 2023, but promises greater power, speed, and agility. The yacht debuted at the Palma International Boat Show in May, but this marks its official release. With exteriors by Nauta Design and naval architecture by Matteo Polli, the newcomer is as elegant as the LC but cuts an even sleeker silhouette. The gently tapered coachroof gives the yacht a low profile that is quite different from that of the LC. It also features the same streamlined hull and V-shaped bow as the Grand Soleil Plus 72, meaning it offers a similar level of performance and handling but has a slightly smaller footprint. “The hull is designed..
