This New 52-Foot Day Boat Has a Deck That Unfolder Like Origami

Red Yacht Design is bringing a little more color to the market. The renowned international design studio, known for penning needle-moving yachts and superyachts, has launched a new brand focused on creating high-end boats for discerning seafarers.

Manari Yachts was born from the understanding that today’s owners are after more than a simple boat in which to cross the water; they want a private sanctuary on the high seas. Each model will carry the same DNA, showcasing sculpted architecture, expansive social decks, and meticulous craftsmanship. Manari says each vessel will be as distinctive and individual as the owner who commands it. They will be produced in limited numbers, too, adding another layer of exclusivity.

Christened the Manari 52, the first model is a modern Mediterranean day boat that combines elegant design with impressive power. Manari developed a highly efficient hull to increase the speed, stability, and fuel efficiency of the 52-footer, adding sculpted lines and refined details to ensure it stands out on the seas. Manari says the runabout is also equipped with some rare features for its size, including an open-sided balcony and a swim platform that both connect guests to the water.

In terms of propulsion, the yacht is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS drives that afford a top speed of 47 knots. You can also expect smooth and precise handling, according to Manari.

There are some similar 52-footers already on the market. The Absolute 52 Fly also delivers superyacht amenities in a compact package, but has a slower top speed of 34 knots. Similarly, the Pardo GT52 also has an open-plan layout and a swim platform, but can only reach 30 knots. Manari might have the others beat in terms of speed.

The 52 won’t be alone for long. Manari will introduce a smaller outboard model—a fast, stylish chase boat—next year, followed by larger superyachts already in development.
