Aboard the Galeon 620 Fly, “Beach Mode” Is a Way of Living
When yacht design begins to borrow its cues from residential architecture rather than maritime convention, the results can feel rather radical. That is precisely the territory being explored by Hong Kong-based design firm In Situ & Partners, which has partnered with Polish yacht builder Galeon Yachts to design the brand’s interior language across multiple models, bringing a contemporary, globally attuned sensibility to onboard living while preserving Galeon’s reputation for engineering rigor and modular innovation.
Led by founder and principal Yacine Bensalem alongside interior design director Philippe Grasset, In Situ & Partners conceives yacht interiors as fluid environments, closer in spirit to modern apartments or boutique residences. The result is a balance of technical performance and visual warmth.

At a material level, the palette blends high-gloss marine lacquers and mirror-polished stainless steel with walnut, teak, and eucalyptus wood, punctuated by curved lines, shadow gaps, and integrated, invisible lighting.
The collaboration debuted with the Galeon 640 Fly and has since expanded into a broader design program. To date, In Situ & Partners has completed six yacht designs, including five models within the Fly series and the newer 570 Sky, with additional Skydeck models currently in development. The partnership signals more than a one-off styling exercise; it reflects a long-term shift toward a cohesive, design-led identity.
A centerpiece of the collaboration is the Galeon 620 Fly, where owners can choose from five décor themes—Ocean, Amber, Terra, Pearl, and Ivory—each inspired by natural tonal atmospheres. Interior signatures include rounded cabinetry, ambient lighting, and concealed air-conditioning vents that allow ceilings and wall surfaces to read as uninterrupted planes. Additionally, there are subtle flourishes: a French-inspired herringbone floor pattern, a textured technical mesh headboard in the master suite, and eucalyptus wood detailing that introduces texture without visual heaviness.
The soft furnishings and textiles continue this perspective. Interiors incorporate Pinton plush carpeting, Kvadrat textiles, and Kettal bar stools designed by Patricia Urquiola—the celebrated designer who was also a Robb Report Philippines’ Best of the Best awardee in 2025. The inclusion of Urquiola’s work situates the yacht within a broader design conversation, connecting marine interiors to the world of contemporary furniture and collectible design.
The saloon is laid out for openness, with a C-shaped sofa and adaptable table on one side and a bar counter opposite, complete with a concealed television and an opening window that connects directly to the waterside. Forward, an open galley with a central island flows naturally into the helm, with side access to the foredeck and airflow designed to move cleanly through the yacht. Below deck, owners can choose a three- or four-cabin arrangement, anchored by a full-beam master suite, with separate crew quarters aft.
Exterior details are no slouch, either: the 620 Fly introduces an updated “beach mode” concept featuring three drop-down terraces, one on the starboard side on the main deck and two flanking the hydraulic swim platform, that expand the aft cockpit and bring owners closer to the water.
