You could check into a floating Aman in just two years’ time.

The hospitality titan, which currently operates 36 hotels, resorts, and private residences in 20 countries, has announced its first luxuryLuxuryA lifestyle defined by exceptional quality, craftsmanship, exclusivity, and sophistication, encompassing the finest products, services, and experiences that represent the highest standards of refinement and excellence.Go to Luxury Glossary yacht will launch in the spring of 2027. That sounds ambitious, but Aman is making good progress: The keel laying ceremony took place in July last year, before the vessel was officially christened this past April.

With a name that means “peaceful motion” in Sanskrit, Amangati spans a lofty 600 feet but offers just 47 suites to ensure both privacy and exclusivity. Styled inside and out by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the vessel is more aesthetically akin to a superyacht than a traditional cruise ship. Described as a “floating sanctuary” by Aman, the liner takes design cues from traditional ryokan architecture. Think clean, elegant lines and refined, minimalist decor. Each suite showcases floor-to-ceiling windows and large balconies, resulting in an airy, spacious feel. Aman says the suites are among the largest of any such 600-footer.

Cruisers can expect hotel-like amenities, too, including four international restaurants, a jazz club, and a signature Aman Spa with a Japanese garden. One yacht-specific highlight is the expansive beach club at the stern, which gives guests direct access to the water.

“The vessel will embody the very essence of our brand’s DNA, providing exceptional privacy, best-in-class amenities, now synonymous with Aman, and our signature unparalleled service not yet experienced on the water,” Aman Chairman and CEO Vlad Doronin said at the naming ceremony. “As construction progresses behind the scenes, our vision remains clear: to create a vessel that not only represents the highest standards of maritime engineering and design but that mirrors the tranquility of our land-based sanctuaries.”

Amangati will be cleaner on the seas than classic, diesel-guzzling cruise ships, too, with a hybrid propulsion system that uses battery power to reduce emissions and improve efficiency. Aman says it is committed to reducing the yacht’s environmental footprint, as part of its broader sustainability strategy.

Aman isn’t the only luxuryLuxuryA lifestyle defined by exceptional quality, craftsmanship, exclusivity, and sophistication, encompassing the finest products, services, and experiences that represent the highest standards of refinement and excellence.Go to Luxury Glossary hotel brand venturing into the marine industry, either: Ritz-Carlton, Belmond, Four Seasons, and Orient Express are also launching or have ships. Seafarers will be spoilt for choice, then.

Amangati is currently under construction at the T.Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy. It is scheduled to launch from the Mediterranean in spring 2027 and will also be available for private charter.
