Beach clubs have become a barometer of luxury in the world of the superyacht. Shipyards and designers are becoming increasingly focused on the seaside living space, adding everything from flashy bars to supersized pools to slabs of marble in a bid to outshine competition. The glitzy amenity can be traced back to the early 1990s, when Blohm + Voss launched the 344-foot Lady Moura. The game-changing megayacht featured one of the industry’s first beach clubs, with side balconies changing how the owner could access the yacht from the water.
