Wimbledon is kind of like the sporting world’s Met Gala, with A-listers and celebrities pulling out chic outfits and spiffy watches for the tennis tournament. David Beckham was one of the most stylish gents in the Royal Box, wearing a full look from his Boss collection and a blingy one-of-a-kind Tudor watch. Simu Liu also looked the part, pairing a gray two-piece and with a matching silver Rolex Day-Date. Russell Crowe rocked a Rolex, too, though he opted for an eye-catching Daytona with a bold turquoise dial. Eddie Redmayne also went for a bit of color, sporting a striking Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades with a red dial.

We spotted three gents in swish Rolexes, with actor Tom Holland wearing a rare discontinued Daytona, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark donning a stealthy black Yacht-Master, and tennis star Roger Federer rocking the newly released Land-Dweller.

Not all celebs strapped on Rollies for the tennis tournament, though. Actor Andrew Garfield wore his trusty Omega De Ville Trésor, soccer star Bukayo Saka flexed a gorgeous Patek PhilippePatek PhilippeA Swiss watchmaker founded in Geneva in 1839 and widely regarded as among the most prestigious in the world, known for complications, hand finishing, and its slogan about passing watchesGo to Patek Philippe Glossary Nautilus, and Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa flaunted an elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso.

Elsewhere in Londontown, stars of the Superman reboot, Nicholas Hoult and David Corenswet, attended a fan event for the new film wearing beauties by Jaeger-LeCoultre and Cartier, respectively. Across the channel, Stormzy sported a spectacular Patek PhilippePatek PhilippeA Swiss watchmaker founded in Geneva in 1839 and widely regarded as among the most prestigious in the world, known for complications, hand finishing, and its slogan about passing watchesGo to Patek Philippe Glossary at the Jacquemus show in Paris.

Over in Europe, basketball legend Michael Jordan showed off an ultra-modern Ulysse Nardin Diver Air as he soaked up the sun in Croatia.

Below are the best watch flexes of the first half of July.

David Beckham: Tudor Black Bay Chrono

David Beckham continued his tradition of bringing his mom to Wimbledon this year. He also continued his tradition of wearing a Tudor watch to the tournament. Becks, who has been an ambassador for the Swiss watchmaker for nearly a decade, rocked a unique Black Bay Chrono courtside on day one of the championship. (He also sported a Black Bay at Wimbledon in 2023.) The one-off, which is rumored to have been a 50th birthday present from Tudor, features diamonds on the bezel, lugs, hour markers, and the five-link bracelet. The standard, diamond-less model (Ref. M79360N-0013) retails for $6,050. You’ll have to get chummy with Tudor for an iced-out one. Photo: Tudor/Getty

David Corenswet: Cartier Tank Américaine

David Corenswet really is becoming the Man of Steel. The actor, who is playing Clark Kent in Superman: Legacy, wore a steel Cartier to a fan event for the film on Wednesday. The Tank Américaine in question features a large 44.4 mm steel case, a faceted synthetic blue spinel, a silvered satin-brushed dial with sword-shaped blued-steel hands, and a semi-matte navy alligator-skin strap. Quite an understated timepiece for the red carpet—especially compared to his co-star’s JLC—but we bet Superman would approve. The Tank will set you back $6,250. Photo: Cartier/Getty

Russell Crowe: Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Turquoise

Russell Crowe aced the watch game at Wimbledon this year, wearing one of the hottest new Rollies courtside. Unveiled at Watches and Wonders earlier this year, this contemporary, colorful take on the classic 1960s Daytona features a 40 mm yellow-gold case, a turquoise Tiffany-esque dial with black subdials, a black Cerachrom bezel with tachymetric scale, and a black Oysterflex strap. It’s priced at a cool $36,400. Photo: Rolex/Getty

Nicholas Hoult: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute

Maybe Lex Luthor is a Jaeger-LeCoultre guy? Nicholas Hoult, who plays the iconic villain in the latest Superman flick, has been rocking a Reverso throughout the entire press tour. (He is an ambassador for JLC, so that is to be expected.) Released in November 2024, this modern riff on the 1996 original features a 49.4 mm case in pink gold and two dials with an hour-minute display. The front dial showcases a beautiful gold hue, minute track, applied indexes, and Dauphine hands, while the reverse spotlights the skeletonized chronograph movement (Caliber 860) and its retrograde 30-minute counter. This Reverso is limited to 250 pieces, with price available upon request. Photo: Jaeger-LeCoultre/Getty

Simu Liu: Rolex Day-Date

Simu Liu rocked an otherworldly Rolex at Wimbledon this year. The actor appears to be wearing a Day-Date (Ref. 228236) with a dazzling meteorite dial. The Crown, alongside many other watchmakers, has taken to incorporating this asteroid-derived material into dials to give them extra pizzazz. Liu has an impressive (and ever-growing) watch collection, with the actor sporting pieces by Jacob & Co., Rolex, and IWC. This Rollie will set you back $73,900. Photo: Rolex/Getty

Eddie Redmayne: Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades

It’s not unusual to see Eddie Redmayne in an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades. The British actor fronted the campaign for the watch and routinely wears it on the red carpet. It was fun to see him strap on one of the brightest references for Wimbledon, though. This particular example features a 38 mm case in stainless steel, a striking terra-cotta–colored dial, and a steel bracelet with beautifully rounded links. It is also equipped with the watchmaker’s famous Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement. Best part is that the wrist candy costs a relatively modest $6,600, too. Photo: Omega/Getty

Stormzy: Patek PhilippePatek PhilippeA Swiss watchmaker founded in Geneva in 1839 and widely regarded as among the most prestigious in the world, known for complications, hand finishing, and its slogan about passing watchesGo to Patek Philippe Glossary World Time Flyback Chronograph

Stormzy has once again shown his impeccable taste in wrist candy, wearing a Patek PhilippePatek PhilippeA Swiss watchmaker founded in Geneva in 1839 and widely regarded as among the most prestigious in the world, known for complications, hand finishing, and its slogan about passing watchesGo to Patek Philippe Glossary World Time flyback chronograph (Ref. 5935A-001) at the Jacquemus show in Paris last Sunday. (The British rapper has also been spotted in a Patek Philippe Nautilus and a Rolex Daytona.) Released in 2022, the 41 mm steel chronograph has a gorgeous rose-gilt opaline dial with a carbon motif and charcoal-gray gold hour markers that have a luminescent coating. As horophiles know, salmon-colored dials are all the rage. You can add it to your collection for $68,109. Photo: Getty/Patek Philippe

Bukayo Saka: Patek PhilippePatek PhilippeA Swiss watchmaker founded in Geneva in 1839 and widely regarded as among the most prestigious in the world, known for complications, hand finishing, and its slogan about passing watchesGo to Patek Philippe Glossary Nautilus

English footballers have some of the best watches in the game, with players like Bukayo Saka showing off some incredible wrist candy. The soccer star has several Rolexes, Pateks, and APs in his collection, but decided to wear his gorgeous Nautilus (Ref. 5712/1R-001) to Wimbledon. Released in 2022, this reference features an 18-karat rose gold case, a matching gold bracelet, and a brown sunburst dial with a black gradient effect. The functions are arranged in a striking asymmetrical manner, with a small seconds subdial at 4 o’clock, a date display with moon phases at 7 o’clock, and a power reserve indicator at 10 o’clock. The beating heart is an ultra-thin self-winding 240 PS IRM C LU caliber with a 48-hour power reserve. It will set you back $92,830. Michael Jordan: Ulysse Nardin Diver Air

Michael Jordan knows how to vacation in style. The legendary basketball player was spotted wearing the swish new Ulysse Nardin Diver Air on a recent trip to Croatia. Released at Watches and Wonders this past April, the aptly named Air is currently ranks as the world’s lightest mechanical dive watch. It features a 44 mm titanium case, a skeletonized dial, an exposed carbon-fiber bezel, and a 199-part automatic movement but only weighs a scant 52 grams. A true feat of engineering, the Air was named Best Dive Watch in Robb Report’s annual Best of the Best awards. It’ll cost you $38,000. Ulysse Nardin/Getty

Tom Holland: Rolex Daytona

Tom Holland may have been enthusiastically clapping for players at Wimbledon, but we’re applauding his watch choice. The British actor wore a Rolex Daytona (Ref. 116506) courtside. Introduced in 2013, this reference was the Crown’s first platinum Daytona. Rolex released several versions with diamond-encrusted bezels, diamond-set dials, and Arabic dials, before eventually discontinuing the model in 2023. Holland’s example features eight baguette-cut stones for hour markets and three diamonds at three, six, and nine o’clock. Expect to pay in the high five to six figures for this beauty.

Ncuti Gatwa: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds

Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa was serving elegance at Wimbledon, pairing a Ralph Lauren ensemble with the newly released Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds. Unveiled at Watches and Wonders earlier this year, the timepiece evokes the original 1931 Reverso with an elegant Art Deco aesthetic. The newcomer features a 47 mm steel case, the famous two dials, and two bracelets by Casa Fagliano. The front blue dial shows a railroad minute track, trapezoidal applied indexes, Dauphine hands, and small seconds at six o’clock, while the reverse silver dial sports a night and day indicator at six o’clock. The piece is priced at $13,700. Getty/Jaeger Le-Coultre

Roger Federer: Rolex Land-Dweller 40

A Rolex testimonee since 2001, Roger Federer always has the hottest new Rollies on his wrist. Wimbledon was no exception. The tennis star showed off the game-changing Land-Dweller as he watched the match between Alex de Minaur and Novak Djokovic. Considered the Crown’s most significant watch in a generation, the Land-Dweller is a revolutionary design with some 18 patented innovations. Highlights include an integrated bracelet, a striking honeycomb dial, and an ultra-thin Calibre 7135 movement. We could wax lyrical until, well, the Wimbledon final, but shell out $14,900 and you can admire the 40 mm steel and white gold timepiece yourself. Photo: Getty/Rolex

Andrew Garfield: Omega De Ville Trésor

Omega loyalist Andrew Garfield rocked his ace Omega De Ville Trésor at Wimbledon this year, proving that there is something to be said for a subtle dress watchDress WatchA slim, understated timepiece designed to slip beneath a shirt cuff, with a simple dial and a leather strap or fine bracelet. The dress watch emphasizes elegance over function, andGo to Dress Watch Glossary. Taking design cues from the original 1940s Trésors, the watch features an elegant 40 mm steel case, a domed silvery dial, white-gold accents, and a date window at six o’clock. The timepiece is powered by an in-house manual movement (Caliber 8910) that is resistant to magnetic fields reaching up to 15,000 gauss and offers 72 hours of power reserve. The wrist candy retails for $7,400. Photo: Getty/Omega

Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark: Rolex Yacht-Master 42

What watch does a royal wear in Wimbledon’s Royal Box? A Rolex—if you’re Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, anyway. His Majesty rocked what appears to be a Rolex Yacht-Master 42 courtside. Released during Baselworld in 2019, this stealthy number (Ref. 226659) showcases a 42 mm white gold case, a black Cerachrom bezel, a black dial, and a black Oysterflex strap. It is also equipped with the new-generation calibre 3235 that offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. You can grab one for $35,000. Getty/Rolex
