Sometimes you just need to shake things up, no matter how successful something may be. Anyone familiar with Audi knows that the automaker is content to leave well enough alone, as long as it’s working. Just look at the German brand’s best-selling model, the Q5, which hasn’t undergone any major changes since the second-generation version debuted in 2016. Sure, there was a facelift earlier this decade, but the midsize SUV has not been altered in any meaningful way—until now, that is. The 2025 model year sees the debut of the third iteration of the Q5 and its performance variant, the SQ5. As hoped, both models have received a much-needed makeover and a bump in performance.
