Mat Nam at Balmori The Balmori Suites chef’s table was abuzz with guests talking about Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars last weekend. The popular Korean reality cooking show featured 100 of Korea’s best chefs, divided into two groups: the white spoons, the veterans, and the black spoons, the newbies. Two of the white spoon chefs, Young Sook Lee and Jihyung Choi, were in Manila last week to launch Mat Nam (“Where the Flavor Meets), a collaboration with Patrick Go, star chef of Your Local.
